Mumbai, Vancouver, same complaints

When I was in India in February, I stayed with a designer friend in Mumbai. He has lived for 20 years in a beautiful heritage building that was originally built as an orphanage. It is a great mixed-use building with flats housing different income classes, offices, and on the ground level a potted plant nursery.

Via The Guardian’s article “Quebec student protests mark ‘Maple spring’ in Canada: A revolt against a government tuition fee hike is growing into Occupy-inspired dissent against austerity and inequality”. The article, unlike many in the Canadian press, actually bothers to analyse what’s happening in Montreal.
