The brightest light in Vancouver is a giant digital billboard! Welcome to Idiocracy!

Sunday, November 20th, 2011

I took this photo from my dentist’s office late on a dark November afternoon. That bright light in the upper right by the stadium is a giant electronic screen billboard. It’s one of 3 or 4 such billboards ringing Vancouver’s largest stadium, despite the fact that there are Vancouver by-laws forbidding such signs.

Bathroom futurism! Excellent circular spaceship thing going on here. I’m not sure about shag rugs in the bathroom, but will boldly go where no one has gone before. Still, how on earth would you clean this room? The answer is that in space, flokatis are self-cleaning. With microbots or whatever those things in the Neil Stephenson trilogy are called.
