It’s so interesting that you say that, because yesterday when I was looking at Roxy Music videos I noticed that many of them were shot live in Germany in 1973 and 1974 in front of small audiences. At the end of a performance of Mother of Pearl, which went on to be a hit but was an entirely new song at the time, I laughed to see that there was only an uncertain smattering of applause at the end.
