For the first time in a century, an innovation in the egg carton. Hungarian design student Otília Erdélyi figured out how to use less cardboard to make an elegantly simple package made from a single cardboard sheet. Her design is beautiful, genius. Via Inhabitat.
What a great design — and I really love that it’s for six eggs!
@Erica, I know, me too. People can always buy two of these if they need a dozen…
I can only hope to make such a contribution to the world in a small, perfect way. This is marvelous!
Dear,
Can you make this design also so that it fits quail-eggs?
Are these being made anywhere to purchase? (We are in the US) thank you much!
Very nice solution. We had that project assigned to us in Package Design class in mid-1970s using one piece of bristol board. Mine was also for six eggs. It really makes you think!
