The James Bond film The Man With the Golden Gun, 1974, which unfortunately starred Roger Moore rather than Sean Connery, revolves around the capture of an innovative solar energy device funded by the villain Scaramanga and coveted by MI5, which desires the world-dominating powers it confers for itself.

These are a mix of glass and lucite, past and present. The bottom 3 pieces are from the 70s and all of the pieces at top are contemporary. Transparency puts furniture into the realm of the future or the imaginary, even when it also automatically harks back to the 1970s.
