The founder of referencelibrary says his blog was born out of his eBay disappointments, as a sort of consolation catalogue of all the things he didn’t win. The photos tagged “Items I Didn’t Win” are so beautiful you can almost feel his disappointment.
I found this on the consistently entertaining blog deletia. It was taken from Rolcats, a site featuring fake English translations of an Eastern Bloc version of Lolcats.

The French designer and architect Charlotte Perriand (1903 – 1999) produced some very beautiful furniture and buildings, but she is probably not as well known as she should be, even despite the comprehensive retrospective show of her work at the Centre Pompidou in Paris in 2005.
