When I saw the photo above in the news this morning, I thought it was a great building until I realized it was actually storm damage in Midland, Ontario. A tornado produces strangely similar effect to architect James Wines’ SITE buildings for the Best Products Company (below).

Day 1 of measuring: fat bamboo shoot is 58″ tall
This giant timber bamboo grove came over from the neighbours’ yard. My guess it’s been there since the late 1960s, back when a well-known Japanese-Canadian poet lived next door.

After my great aunt died I found this in her desk. Why would she have torn this page from a magazine in the first place, let alone kept it all these years? Likely she viewed it as evidence.

I know this is a ridiculous proposition, but if you never try, you never… experience rejection. I want solar panels for my abnormally long roof, but I can’t afford them yet.
